Zorbing ‘Washing’ Ball!

How was your day, friends? Keep your eyes reading, because it’s gonna be my last post in this blog. Hope that everything going nicely for me. Today, I will tell you about Zorbing.

Zorbing (globe-riding, sphereing, orbing) is the recreation or sport of rolling downhill inside an orb, generally made of transparent plastic. Zorbing is generally performed on a gentle slope, but can also be done on a level surface, permitting more rider control. In the absence of hills some operators have constructed inflatable, wooden or metal ramps. There are two types of orbs, harnessed and non-harnessed. Non-harness orbs carry up to three riders, while the harness orbs are constructed for one to two riders.

Zorbing is pretty unique. Some says that the sensation of zorbing feels like being in a washing machine. 😀

Are you interested? If you do, there’s a site which offering adventure for this unique ZORB. Click http://www.zorb.com/zorb/. It’s also provide shop for the Zorbing ball. But, don’t forget to prepare your wallet.

Volcano Surfing

Hello everyone!! I’m back! How do you do? In this very moment, again I will introduce you to an extreme sport. It is volcano boarding. What is volcano boarding?

Volcano surfing, also known as ash boarding or volcano boarding is a new sport, consisting of an erupted volcano and a thin Plywood or metal board.[1] Riders hike up the volcano and slide down, sitting or standing.

This sport is considered an “extreme sport” because of the danger. Falling off and getting cut by the rough volcanic ash are some of the risks. So, using protective gear, like jump suits and goggles is a must if you want to try this sport. Once you try this sport, boarding down the volcano, you will feel the high adrenaline.

Because this sport is still a new, there’s only one place to do this sport; Cerro Negro mountain in Nicaragua. This sport is pretty popular. If you are interested (I’m also do actually), you can click at http://www.bigfoothostel.com/volcanoboarding.html. Bigfoot Hostel & Volcano Boarding, that’s what it called, provides tour for this unique sport. You can book your tour there, and you will feel the thrilling experience. But first, don’t forget to prepare the money. 😀

Daring Train Surfing

My head feels like it’s going to explode! :O

How do you do? Hope it’s good. When I browsing in internet, I found a very deadly sport. For today, I will introduce you to this sport, but I will not recommend you to do this.

As an extreme hobby, train surfing firstly appeared in South Africa during 1980s among teenagers from a poor families, and then became to appear in other countries around the world. A story from Associated Press dated June 17, 1988 out of Rio De Janeiro reports how teenagers as young as 13 had taken up surfing atop train cars in Brazil. Reporter Jorge Mederos stated that some 150 train surfers were killed in Brazil in 1987; at least 40 in the first half of 1988. According to the article, hundreds more were injured, some permanently paralyzed.

This sport is extremely dangerous. For further information, you can check at http://www.theatlanticcities.com/commute/2012/12/deadly-fun-sport-russian-train-surfing/4205/.

Street Luge

From Wikipedia.com, Street luge is an extreme gravity-powered activity that involves riding a streetluge board (sometimes referred to as a sled) down a paved road or course.[1] Street luge is also known as land luge or road luge.[2] Like skateboarding, street luge is often done for sport and forrecreation.

Other than the supine riding position and very high speeds (40-97 mph / 64-157 km/h), street luge has little relation to its winter namesake (luge).

There’s a site which is provide forum for street luge, but unfortunately it’s for Australian. But, it’s still interesting to learn about. You can check out at http://www.australianstreetluge.com/

Freestyle Snowboarding

Hello everyone! How was your day? I hope it’s nice. Here, I’m still ‘fighting’ with my beloved PC. Please pray for me so that I can finish things I started!

Again, I will introduce you to things related to snow, freestyle snowboarding. From about.com, Freestyle snowboarding is defined as the discipline most closely associated with skateboarding. It involves riders performing tricks in the halfpipe and terrain park, in urban environments, or elsewhere using both natural and man-made features. As the name implies, there is no right or wrong way for a freestyle snowboarder to ride.

Freestyle Snowboarding techniques are mostly aerial (e.g. spins, flips, grabs etc.) but there are some tricks that can be done on the ground (e.g. bonking, grinding, ground spins, etc.). Freestyle snowboarders usually use shorter, softer Snowboards and softer Snowboard Boots to reduce the weight, making it easier for them to maneuver in the air.

Slacklining

Have you ever heard about tightrope walking? If you watch movie which is involving acrobatics, you may also see tightrope walking. Tightrope walking need a very good balance when you do it. Buuuut, what I will tell you about in today’s post is not about tightrope walking. It’s about slacklining.

According to Wikipedia.com, Slacklining is a practice in balance that typically uses nylon or polyesterwebbing tensioned between two anchor points. Many people suggest slacklining is distinct from tightrope walking in that the line is not held rigidly taut (although it is still under some tension); it is instead dynamic, stretching and bouncing like a long and narrow trampoline. The line’s tension can be adjusted to suit the user and different types of webbing can be used to achieve a variety of feats. The line itself is usually flat, due to the nature of webbing, thus keeping the slacker’s footing from rolling as would be the case with an ordinary rope. The dynamic nature of the line allows for tricks and stunts.

Slacklining is ‘easier’, if you compare it with tightrope walking. If you are interested, check it out at http://www.gibbonslacklines.com/us/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=386&Itemid=247. This site is a community, which is provides videos, pictures, tips, shop, and other things about slacklining.

Extreme Skiing

Indonesia is a tropical country, which of course has two seasons, dry and rainy season. Unlike subtropical countries, snow never fall in Indonesia, which is make skiing an unknown sport. So, just keep reading friends. Let’s pray that someday we will have a very chance to go to subtropical countries and play this sport. 😀

Today, I will introduce you to another kind of skiing, which is called Extreme Skiing. From Wikipedia.com, Extreme skiing is performed on long, steep (typically from 45 to 60+ degrees, or grades of 100 to 170 percent) slopes in mountainous terrain. The French coined the term ‘Le Ski Extreme’ in the 1970s. The first practitioners include Swiss skier Sylvain Saudan, who invented the “windshield wiper” turn in the mid-1960s, and in 1967 made the first descents of slopes in the Swiss, French and Italian Alps that were previously considered impossible.

This sport has its own reason for named as ‘Extreme’ Skiing. You must not take it lightly because it is very dangerous. Extreme skiing is meant only for those experienced skiers who look forward to more risks and challenges and are ready to accept it. So, if you play skiing someday, you must not play the ‘extreme’ one. The normal one is enough.

For further information about extreme skiing, check out http://www.extremeskiing.org/. Thank you for reading!

(Freestyle) Scootering = Child’s Play?

I remembered when I was around 9 years old, still in primary school. One of my friend has a scooter. What make me interested that time was its unique form, and teletubbies.
But, nowadays, scootering is not a child’s play anymore. Freestyle scootering, that’s how people called it, is another kind of scootering which is involving tricks in its play. From Wikipedia.com, Freestyle scootering (also known as scooter, scooting, scooter riding, or simply riding) is an action sport which involves using scooters (also known as kick scooters) to perform freestyle tricks, in a manner similar to skateboarding and BMX freestyle. In general, scootering is an activity primarily favored by children aged 5 to early teens. There are 3 genres of freestyle scootering; Park, Street, and Flatland.
Interested? For further information, you can check it out at http://www.scooterdad.com/. Here you will find many useful information about freestyle scootering. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day!
